After Trump Snub, Texas Candidate Valentina Gomez Explodes With Extreme New Promises
Texas — Valentina Gomez, the far-right Republican challenger running in Texas’ 31st Congressional District, posted a new video Friday doubling down on her most controversial campaign promises just days after Donald Trump endorsed her primary opponent.

Gomez’s post—shared from her verified account—lists a series of hardline pledges, including “deport all Somalians,” “bomb every Muslim terrorist,” “jail Fauci,” and “free Derek Chauvin.” She also renewed her demand to “release the Epstein List.”
The video arrives at a sensitive moment in her campaign. Earlier this week, Trump endorsed longtime GOP incumbent Rep. John Carter over Gomez, a notable snub from the president after Gomez repeatedly branded herself as an ultra-MAGA candidate. Though she does not mention Trump directly, the timing of the video has fueled speculation that she is responding to being passed over.
Gomez is no stranger to controversy—or to losing Republican primaries. Before moving to Texas politics, she ran a widely criticized campaign for Missouri Secretary of State in 2024, finishing sixth in the GOP primary with roughly seven percent of the vote. That race drew national attention for her inflammatory ads and homophobic rhetoric.
Her current Texas campaign has followed a similar pattern: confrontational messaging, viral social-media clips, and an attempt to position herself as an outsider fighting the political establishment. She recently went viral for a chaotic appearance on Piers Morgan’s program while wearing an oversized MAGA hat, where she defended her views on immigration and national security.
Rep. Carter, who has represented TX-31 since 2003, is expected to benefit significantly from Trump’s backing as the GOP primary approaches.
