Apple Siri AI Settlement Could Pay iPhone Owners Up to $95 as Users Check Eligibility
Apple has agreed to a proposed $250 million settlement that could send payments to some U.S. iPhone owners after a class-action lawsuit accused the company of misleading buyers about Apple Intelligence and upgraded Siri features.
The settlement could pay eligible consumers at least $25 per qualifying device, with payments potentially reaching up to $95, depending on how many valid claims are submitted. AP reports the settlement covers about 37 million devices bought in the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025.
Covered devices include iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The lawsuit alleged Apple promoted AI-powered Siri capabilities that were not available as expected when consumers bought the devices.
The story has drawn strong consumer interest online because the central question is simple: who gets paid? In Reddit discussion, users focused on purchase dates, eligible models and the possibility of receiving only a modest payout. A class-action news site’s comment section also showed readers asking to be included or saying they owned qualifying iPhones.

Apple denies wrongdoing. Reuters reported the company settled the case without admitting fault and said it wanted to focus on innovation.
The practical consequence for consumers is that no payment is guaranteed yet. A judge must approve the settlement, and an official claims process must open before eligible buyers can receive money.
The broader consequence for the tech industry is also clear: AI marketing claims are becoming a legal risk when advertised features arrive late, change after launch or fail to match consumer expectations.
