Arcadia Lake Shooting Injures at Least 13 as Edmond Police Search for Suspects
At least 13 people were injured Sunday night after gunfire broke out during a large gathering near Arcadia Lake in Edmond, Oklahoma, according to police and hospital officials.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. during a party near the lake, a popular recreation area northeast of Oklahoma City. Edmond police said a large group of young adults was gathered at the area when shots were fired. No suspects were in custody as of Monday morning.
Police said multiple people called 911 after the shooting. Thirteen people were transported to metro-area hospitals, and officials said additional victims may have gone to hospitals by private vehicle. KOCO reported that victim conditions had not been released and that no deaths had been reported at the time of its update.
Integris Health officials told KOCO they were treating 13 patients connected to the shooting. Police had not released the victims’ names, ages, or detailed medical conditions.

The shooting triggered a large emergency response from law enforcement and medical crews. A reunification center was set up at the Walmart near Interstate 35 and 15th Street in Edmond so people could locate loved ones after the shooting. The site was later cleared and reopened.
Investigators were interviewing witnesses and victims Monday as they worked to determine who fired the shots and what led to the violence. Police said there was no known ongoing threat to the public, but the suspect search continued.
The key unanswered questions are who was responsible, whether more than one shooter was involved, and whether the number of victims will change as hospitals and police continue reviewing reports.
