Bahrain Confirms Strike Near U.S. Fifth Fleet Site After Iran Missile Wave
Iran has launched retaliatory missile attacks after the U.S. and Israel struck targets inside Iran, but reporting differs on exactly how wide the response landed and what was actually hit.
Reuters reported Iran fired missiles toward Israel, triggering emergency restrictions, while Gulf states including Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain said they intercepted missiles, and Jordan said it intercepted incoming fire as well.
Bahrain confirmed an impact inside its territory and said a U.S. Fifth Fleet service center was struck.
AP also reported Saudi Arabia said Iran targeted its capit (repelled), and that Ali Al-Salem air base in Kuwait was hit with shrapnel injuries reported.
The Pentagon told Reuters there were no reports of U.S. casualties and described damage as minimal, even as the region braces for follow-on waves.
