In a new interview with The Economist, Steve Bannon declared — without hesitation — that Donald Trump will serve a third term in 2028. When pressed about the 22nd Amendment, which clearly states that no person shall be elected to the presidency more than twice, Bannon smirked:
“There are many different alternatives. At the appropriate time, we’ll lay out what the plan is. But there’s a plan.”
That “plan,” as Tony Michaels explains in today’s video, sounds less like political strategy and more like constitutional vandalism. Bannon hinted that Trump could appear on the ballot again — arguing that if the American people chose him, how could that be “against the Constitution”? It’s the same authoritarian sales pitch MAGA used before: say it enough times and it becomes reality.
This isn’t about faith or divine destiny. It’s about self-preservation — a desperate attempt to keep Trump and his allies shielded from accountability by clinging to power at any cost.
