This pisses me off so much. we can’t get 75% of United States citizens to vote let alone people who aren’t eligible. The only way Republicans maintain power is through their special DEI programs: gerrymandering, the electoral college, and voter suppression.

Thank you for this article on the SAVE ACT. I have been trying to reason with our Wisconsin Rep vanorden about this! He sent me this bit of hogwash: “Restoring Balance in Our Branches of Government

There are three coequal branches of government, but the Judicial Branch legislating from the bench has plagued America for decades. Judges are meant to interpret the law, not write it, which is why I voted to pass the No Rogue Rulings Act. This bill will ensure activist federal judges abusing their Article III power cannot block the lawful exercise of executive power.

Specifically, the No Rogue Rulings Act:

Restores principles of federalism by clarifying that judicial orders cannot bind non-parties to litigation before a court.

Stops single district court judges from solely determining national policy – an authority the Constitution reserves for Congress, the President, and, in limited instances, the Supreme Court.

Creates an exception for certified class action lawsuits and establishes a three-judge appeals process that can be appealed directly to the Supreme Court.

Ensuring Integrity in Our Federal Elections

Most Americans believe that only U.S. citizens should be voting in our federal elections. That is why I was proud to vote in favor of the SAVE Act, which requires proof of citizenship to register to vote and directs states to clean up their voter rolls.

I want you to know that the SAVE Act will not prevent women, military members, or any other U.S. citizen from voting – it only prevents non-citizens from voting. This bill offers several ways to verify U.S. citizenship, including, but not limited to, passports, birth certificates, military records, and tribal records. It also requires states to have reasonable verification processes to account for name changes, similar to what voters already do to update their Social Security records or driver's license.”

States ALREADY have verification procedures and non-citizens do not vote! He is a trumptoady and needs to be called out on this hogwash.
