BREAKING: Libraries, Small Businesses & Homeless Aid Slashed
While America Watched the Budget Battle, Trump Killed Key Public Services—Here’s What You Missed
While the country was glued to the Senate budget fight, Donald Trump quietly signed an executive order on March 14, 2025, gutting multiple federal agencies—and hardly anyone noticed. The order was reported issued just before midnight, and no reporting dropped until this morning.
The cuts target programs that support minority-owned businesses, public libraries, economic development, labor rights, and even homelessness prevention. This isn’t just about reducing “government waste.” This is a deliberate attack on public services that millions of Americans rely on.
What Just Got Eliminated?
Trump’s order wipes out several agencies, each playing a key role in supporting working-class and marginalized communities. Here’s what’s being shut down:
Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)— Provides federal funding to libraries and museums, helping with early literacy programs, free internet access, and cultural preservation. Losing IMLS could hit rural and low-income communities hardest, stripping them of essential educational resources.
U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM)— The agency that funds Voice of America and Radio Free Europe, which provide critical news coverage in regions where press freedom is under attack. Killing USAGM is a win for authoritarian regimes that want to silence independent journalism.
Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA)— One of the few federal programs specifically designed to help minority-owned businesses thrive. Its elimination means fewer resources, fewer grants, and more barriers for Black and Brown entrepreneurs.
Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund)— A vital source of capital for small lenders in low-income areas, ensuring families and small businesses can get needed loans. Without it, big banks will dominate, and working-class Americans will lose.
Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS)—This agency helps resolve labor disputes and prevent strikes. Killing it would make it even harder for workers to stand up to corporate giants and fight for fair wages and conditions.
U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH)— The only federal agency entirely dedicated to addressing homelessness. Its elimination could lead to worse coordination between local programs and skyrocketing rates of unhoused Americans.
Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars— A think tank that provides nonpartisan research on global issues. Cutting this is both reckless and short-sighted at a time of growing international instability.
What’s the Real Agenda Here?
Trump’s move is part of a larger strategy: starve public institutions while funneling wealth and power to the private sector. These agencies don’t cost much compared to massive tax breaks for billionaires, but they provide crucial support to communities that need it most.
Let’s be clear: this isn’t about cutting “wasteful spending.” It’s about weakening public services so private corporations can fill the gap—for a price. It’s about making it harder for everyday Americans to access resources while the wealthiest get even richer.
The timing wasn’t an accident. With the Senate budget dominating the headlines, Trump buried this move in the chaos, betting that no one would notice.
Well, we noticed. And we are pissed. Once again, the most vulnerable suffer as he and his cronies continue to record record profits.
Stay tuned for additional reporting.

"French Revolution" moment incoming?
The end goal is to keep as many women, black, brown and disabled people of all persuasions out of creating small businesses, out of eligibility for grants and loans and totally marginalized in society. The goal is to create more homeless, impoverished people so that they will
eventually be rounded up and locked in some version of an internment camp.... disappeared from our society.
These programs combined, most likely don't cost nearly what it costs for that treasonous diapered POS to keep flying back and forth to Florida from the White House.
He wants to create a caste system here, make our society like Les Miserables....if he keeps library programs hobbled, people will have zero access to educational information and programs to help them keep up with the world around them.
Keep everyone in the dark so only HE can "rule" with an iron fist. Well, he should be behind IRON BARS!! Every day reveals new depths of evil and hatred toward the people of this country. 😞
