BREAKING: Trump EO Dismantles Dept. of Education
All education guidelines retuned to the States per order
As promised, on March 20, 2025, President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the dismantling of the U.S. Department of Education, aiming to transfer educational authority back to state and local governments.
As we’ve discussed previously, this is in line with Project 2025, the authoritarian playbook that he has definitely, most certainly, absolutely not read or tried to fulfill.
Returning education to the states means that traditionally red states with the lowest literacy and most vulnerable education standards will now have absolute control to teach whatever crosses their minds with zero oversight.
Additionally, this move will impact student loans and grants, which are disproportionately used by low-income, first-generation, and minority students, now cut off from higher education.
The executive order comes just after a DOGE infestation that has damaged the ability of the department to function.
Since the Department was literally created through an act of Congress, this move is widely regarded as illegitimate and is expected to be quickly challenged.
Stay tuned for further lunacy.

The US Department of education does not control curriculum. It lends, gives monies and does education research. This giving education back to the states is bogus
This will wreak havoc in every state in the nation. Just to change the accounting software in the districts that is currently dependent on input from tHE DOE is going to be a nightmare. So much for efficiency.
