The group, called 805 Patriots, posted promotional material online inviting “patriots” to gather inside the park. Organizers told followers to avoid bringing flags, noting Disneyland bans large flags and signage. Instead, they’re pushing attendees to wear branded shirts as a show of presence.
In their messaging, organizers said the goal is to “trigger liberals on their home turf” while spending the day at the park. Ordering a shirt was promoted as a form of RSVP.
The meetup accidentally overlaps with “Mini Gay Days,” an unofficial LGBTQ-friendly gathering scheduled at the resort on the same day. Organizers of the MAGA event have since embraced the overlap, calling it “even more fun now.”
Disneyland has stated that unofficial group meetups are not park events, and the resort maintains the right to refuse entry for behavior or dress that violates park policy.
