Dear MAGA: You Got Played
They told you they’d cut waste. Instead, they’re cutting your Social Security, healthcare, and VA benefits while billionaires cash in.
Let’s be honest. You were promised a government that would finally put Americans first. You were told that waste would be cut, that elites in Washington would stop throwing your tax dollars away, and that the government would start investing in the people who actually built this country, working-class Americans like you.
But that’s not what’s happening. Have you seen the news lately? No one is protecting you and your family. They are securing more wealth for themselves.
President Trump’s Executive Orders and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, are slashing the programs American families rely on. These cuts aren’t targeting the rich, they aren’t stopping corporate greed, and they sure as hell aren’t cutting Wall Street handouts. They are coming for your healthcare, your kid’s school, your VA benefits, your Medicare, and your ability to put food on the table.
And if that’s not bad enough, the administration is justifying these cuts with lies—lies about where your tax money actually goes, lies about what’s being “wasted,” and lies about their real priorities.
This isn’t draining the swamp. This is gutting the working class.

What Americans Want vs. What Trump and DOGE Are Cutting
If you think the government should spend more on healthcare, education, and helping struggling Americans get back on their feet, you’re not alone. In fact, the majority of Americans—Republicans and Democrats—agree on these priorities.
According to an AP-NORC poll conducted in February 2025:
66% of Americans say the government spends too little on Social Security and education.
60% believe the government isn’t investing enough in assistance for the poor.
A majority say Medicare and Medicaid need more funding, not less.
Most Americans support more investment in infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and public transit.
And yet, Trump’s administration and DOGE are cutting spending on every single one of these programs. Don’t believe me? Check out our reporting. Check out ANY reporting and you’ll see exactly what agencies and programs are being slashed.
DOGE’s Cuts: Hurting the People Who Need Help the Most
1. Veterans Are Losing Benefits
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is facing budget reductions, threatening healthcare services for those who fought for this country.
Veteran housing assistance programs are being cut, making it harder for those who served to afford a place to live.
The administration insists these cuts are about “efficiency,” but the reality is that they’re forcing veterans to fight for scraps while billionaires keep their tax breaks.
2. Social Security and Medicare Are Under Attack
Despite 66% of Americans wanting more funding for Social Security, budget proposals suggest reductions in disability benefits and increased retirement age discussions, so you must work longer, and God forbid you get hurt. Either way, the pay won’t be a living wage.
Cuts to Medicare funding will mean higher costs for seniors, and this comes as inflation is already reducing fixed incomes. Have you seen the budget proposed by the Republican House? Their priorities don’t appear to be you.
The administration claims these programs are unsustainable, but it is not opposed to cutting corporate taxes or increasing military spending.
3. Education Is Taking a Huge Hit
Title I funding, which supports schools in low-income areas, is being cut. This means less funding for struggling schools and fewer resources for kids.
IDEA funding, which ensures special education services for disabled children, is at risk. This is in addition to several states going after disability accommodation in general. Hope no one you know needs a little help.
Attacks are also being made on free breakfast and lunch offered in public schools. For many, the meal(s) they receive at school are the only food they will see that day, and who can focus on learning when they are hungry?
While Americans overwhelmingly say education is underfunded, the administration is actively defunding programs to help the next generation succeed. Vouchers, you say? Do you live in an area that has ready access to charter schools? Most who live in rural areas do not. Plus, many private and charter schools have no obligation to accept every student who applies. Will your child get in?
4. Healthcare and Medicaid Are Being Slashed
Over 5,000 public health employees at the CDC and NIH have already been laid off. This is while respiratory diseases are wreaking havoc in every state, the bird flu has crossed into humans (did you miss that story?), and RFK Jr is talking about removing coverage for mental health.
Medicaid cuts mean millions could lose coverage, leaving families with skyrocketing medical bills and no help in sight. And the Trump Administration has attempted to prevent more medications from becoming subject to price negotiations while his pals blocked price caps for non-Medicare users.
Rural hospitals, already struggling, will close at even higher rates, leaving entire communities without access to emergency care. This is while the nation faces doctor and nursing shortages, putting care in every community at risk.
5. Housing and Assistance for the Poor Are Being Eliminated
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is being gutted, and up to 50% of its workforce will be cut. Did you know that HUD does more than offer public housing? These cuts threaten Section 8 vouchers, which supplement rent payments in the community. Many areas also have rehabilitation funding to help you repair your home.
Low-income families, seniors, and veterans will have fewer affordable housing options while rent prices keep climbing. The housing shortage is not improving, and Trump’s tariffs on steel will not make it easier soon.
SNAP (food stamps) funding is at risk, despite 60% of Americans saying they want more assistance for the poor, not less. This is literally taking food out of the mouths of children.
This is not what you voted for.
The Truth About Foreign Aid: More Lies from Washington
Now, let’s talk about one of the biggest lies that got us here: foreign aid.
A majority of Americans say they want to cut foreign aid spending. And that makes sense. We’re constantly told that we’re throwing money away to other countries while Americans struggle.
But here’s what they don’t tell you: foreign aid makes up less than 1% of the federal budget. 1%. Not the 31% that polling reveals most Americans believe it spent.
And do you know what that money is spent on? The exact same things Americans want more investment in at home.
USAID feeds starving children—just like food assistance does in the U.S.
USAID builds schools and provides education—just like Title I does here.
USAID funds hospitals and medical care—just like Medicaid and Medicare.
The administration lied to you about how much money is spent on foreign aid to justify cutting the same services Americans rely on at home. They’re not saving you money. They’re taking your services away while letting billionaires and corporations keep every dollar.
Who Gets Hurt vs. Who Wins
Let’s break it down.
Who’s getting screwed?
❌ Veterans losing healthcare and housing assistance
❌ Seniors facing Social Security and Medicare cuts
❌ Working families struggling with higher food and housing costs
❌ Children losing education support
Who’s winning?
✔ Billionaires who got another round of tax cuts
✔ Corporations that keep their government subsidies
✔ The defense industry, which keeps getting massive military contracts
✔ Washington elites who tell you to “tighten your belt” while stuffing their pockets
If this sounds like a betrayal, that’s because it is.
The Bottom Line: They’re Not Fighting for You—They’re Fighting for Themselves
You were told this administration would look out for hardworking Americans. That they would stop wasteful spending and focus on real priorities.
Instead, they are gutting the very programs Americans say they want more funding for, all while keeping tax cuts for the rich and handing government contracts to their buddies.
You didn’t vote to slash veterans’ benefits.
You didn’t vote to cut Social Security and Medicare.
You didn’t vote to take food and housing away from struggling families.
And yet, that’s exactly what’s happening.
The question is: Are you going to let them get away with it?

There is no shame in being wrong magats! Its shameful when a person denies it.
They meant what they said about cutting WASTE, The part they didn’t say out loud is that they consider their MAGA cult followers as the “human WASTE” which they will cut!
