DOJ Releases Epstein Files Containing Allegations Against Trump
The U.S. Justice Department has released previously withheld Jeffrey Epstein investigation files that include allegations involving former President Donald Trump, drawing renewed attention to the long-running controversy over the government’s handling of Epstein records.
The documents surfaced after investigators determined several files had been mistakenly excluded from earlier public releases, raising fresh political and legal questions about what information was delayed and why.
According to Associated Press and Reuters, the newly published records contain summaries of four FBI interviews conducted in 2019 with a woman who alleged that Epstein abused her as a minor and later introduced her to Trump in the 1980s.
In the interviews, the woman claimed Trump attempted to force her into sexual activity while she was between 13 and 15 years old, though investigators noted the allegations were never substantiated.

The Justice Department said the files were originally withheld because they had been incorrectly coded as duplicates during a massive document review required under federal transparency law.
Officials emphasized that the claims remain uncorroborated and that the FBI ultimately stopped contact with the accuser after the interviews concluded.
Trump has denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes and his representatives dismissed the accusations as politically motivated.
The DOJ release comes amid growing scrutiny from lawmakers who say the department’s Epstein disclosures have been incomplete or inconsistent.

A bipartisan vote in the House Oversight Committee has already moved to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi for testimony about the handling of Epstein records and the delayed disclosure of certain documents.
The investigation could determine whether additional files remain withheld or improperly classified as Congress continues pressing for full transparency in the Epstein case.
For now, the newly released documents add another layer of unresolved allegations to one of the most scrutinized criminal investigations in recent U.S. history.
