Elon Musk Dumps $10M Into Senate Race as GOP Midterm Fight Escalates
Elon Musk is injecting millions into U.S. midterm races, with new donations targeting key Senate and congressional contests as control of Congress hangs in the balance.
The scale of that spending is drawing attention from both parties, with Republicans embracing the cash influx and critics warning it could reshape electoral influence in real time.
According to Axios and Business Insider, Musk recently gave $10 million to a super PAC supporting Republican Senate candidate Nate Morris in Kentucky. He also contributed $5 million each to the Congressional Leadership Fund and Senate Leadership Fund, two major GOP-aligned groups working to secure House and Senate majorities.
But the spending is not limited to a single race.

Disclosures show Musk has poured tens of millions into Republican efforts since 2025 and is expected to continue funding campaigns through his America PAC as the 2026 midterms approach.
“Are we really living in a democracy when the richest man on earth can spend as much as he wants?” Sen. Bernie Sanders said in response to the donations.
The surge in billionaire-backed funding is intensifying concerns about the role of money in elections, especially as both parties prepare for tight Senate races and competitive House districts.
What remains unclear is how far Musk will extend his involvement, including whether additional states—like emerging battlegrounds in the South—will see similar financial backing.
More campaign finance filings are expected in the coming months as the midterm map takes shape.
