Epstein Survivors’ Attorney Slams Trump Admin. Over “No Trust” in Epstein File Release
Newly released photos from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate have pushed pressure back onto the White House over whether it will fully disclose all government files on the disgraced financier.
House Democrats on Friday published 19 images from more than 95,000 produced by Epstein’s estate, including shots of President Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton, part of a broader push for transparency in the Epstein saga.
The releases coincide with passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a bipartisan law signed this year requiring the Justice Department to release all unclassified records relating to Epstein by Dec. 19.
Survivors of Epstein’s sex-trafficking network and their legal representatives have publicly demanded assurances that the administration will comply fully and not withhold files. Some advocates say existing releases don’t go far enough and lack context needed to understand the scope of wrongdoing.
A separate whistleblower letter shared with Congress alleges Ghislaine Maxwell is receiving special treatment in her minimum-security prison — including custom meals and interaction with a service dog — sparking further controversy over how her case has been handled, although the Bureau of Prisons has not confirmed those details.
“This administration must show we have nothing to hide,” one survivors’ attorney said in recent interviews about the push for full file release.
The demand for transparency matters to survivors, lawmakers and the public, especially as more documentation is expected before the year’s end.
Next week, lawmakers and attorneys plan further hearings on the status of file releases, with many calling on the Justice Department to commit publicly to disclosing all relevant materials before the legal deadline.
