Epstein Survivors Call Prince Andrew’s Arrest “Profound” and Slam U.S. Justice Failure
The arrest of former Prince Andrew on suspicion of misconduct in public office has drawn sharp reactions from Jeffrey Epstein survivors, who called the moment “profound” and said it underscores a failure by the U.S. justice system to pursue accountability.
Survivors say the UK action highlights a stark contrast: while British authorities are probing powerful people connected to Epstein, the United States has yet to pursue equivalent charges despite years of scrutiny and released files.
According to The Independent, Epstein accuser Danielle Bensky said, “It just feels like all the rest of the countries of the world are saying that this is problematic and they’re looking into it, and here we’re saying, ‘Nope, nothing to see here.’”

That sentiment was echoed by survivor Maria Farmer, who told the outlet she was “really in shock that anything this magnificent could occur,” adding that she hopes the arrest signals wider accountability.
The arrest came after exposure of millions of pages of Epstein files, which have drawn scrutiny on high-profile figures. Some U.S. lawmakers and survivors are now pressing the Justice Department to take stronger action, arguing that if a prince can be held accountable, so can powerful figures in the U.S. political and business elite.
But as of now, there have been no new major U.S. prosecutions tied to the released Epstein files. Advocates say this contrast deepens frustration and fuels calls for action. It matters because survivors see it as a test of whether powerful people linked to Epstein will face consequences in the United States. What happens next could shape how the justice system handles elite accountability tied to the Epstein network.
