Epstein’s Brother Says Jeffrey Told Him Trump Called After 2016 Win: “Can You Believe This?”
Mark Epstein, the brother of Jeffrey Epstein, says Donald Trump called Jeffrey shortly after winning the 2016 presidential election — a claim he made during a televised interview on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront. The statement directly contradicts Trump’s repeated public claim that he had not spoken to Epstein in “15 years.”

During the CNN segment, Mark Epstein said Jeffrey told him that Trump called in the days following the 2016 election, describing the tone of the call as surprised and upbeat. According to Mark, Jeffrey said Trump essentially told him, “Can you believe this?” after pulling off what was widely considered an unexpected victory.
Trump has long maintained that he cut off contact with Jeffrey Epstein well before the 2010s. In 2019, as scrutiny intensified following Epstein’s arrest, Trump told reporters he hadn’t spoken to Epstein in “probably 15 years” and emphasized he “wasn’t a fan.”
The claim made on CNN challenges that timeline. Mark Epstein did not provide phone records, recordings, or documentation of the alleged call, and he acknowledged that he was relaying what Jeffrey told him privately. Still, the statement marks the first time a family member of Epstein has alleged direct communication between Trump and Jeffrey after the 2016 election.
The CNN interview also touched on longstanding rumors that Jeffrey claimed to possess compromising information about high-profile political and business figures, though Mark said he does not know what that information was and provided no supporting evidence. Those remarks have since been highlighted by several media outlets as the interview continues to circulate online.
The contradiction between Mark Epstein’s account and Trump’s public statements has reignited questions about the true timeline of their relationship. The allegation of a post-election call is already drawing significant attention on social media, where many users are comparing the interview to Trump’s earlier denials.
As of now, no independent confirmation of the reported phone call has emerged, and the claim remains based solely on Mark Epstein’s retelling of what Jeffrey allegedly said. Trump has not responded to Mark Epstein’s interview.
