I've been looking for a reason to get out of the US markets COMPLETELY, and this is it - I'm done with this NAZI regime. Plenty of overseas opportunities. In addition, I've got to take a harder look at getting out of the US dollar. I have personally cut back on my spending dramatically, too. Planning little, if any travel within the continental US, but planning to take a look again at Europe, having lived there in the military about 45 years ago.
One huge problem is that Trump now has complete control over government stats like the ones coming out of BLS. I've heard people say it's not a problem, because there are other sources. And, I've also heard people say Nazi investment in our businesses is not a problem.. Just put your money in whatever they do. REALLY?!?!?!?!
If I didn't have children and grandchildren here, I would have left during the first Trump debacle. But, at 77, I really don't want to potentially live under dictatorship for the rest of my life. And even though world history and social studies were not in my wheelhouse, I was paying attention.
Prices are rising, thousands of companies are laying people off or putting a freeze on hiring. The auto industry has reported $12 billion dollars in losses because of tariffs. The hospitality and travel industry are seeing a decline in tourism. There has been a rise in late payments on credit card, mortgage and farm loans. Which means bankruptcies aren't far behind. Personally, I'm cutting back on any extraneous spending and keeping to necessary items only. Not to mention several economists are predicting stagflation is on the horizon. When they'll lose their minds and their asses is when the market collapses from the looming t-Rump-session.
CORUPT, CORUPT, CORUPT!

You are not alone. Many of my veteran friends who are fortunate enough to have the means are making plans to expatriate.
