FBI Swarms Kansas City International Airport After Bomb Threat Triggers Evacuation
Travelers were evacuated from Kansas City International Airport on Sunday after a reported bomb threat triggered a large police and FBI response.
Authorities ordered passengers out of the terminal and onto the tarmac while officers and bomb-sniffing dogs searched the concourses. Flights arriving at the airport were held on taxiways as the situation unfolded.
According to the Associated Press and multiple local outlets, the evacuation began late Sunday morning after officials received a report of a possible threat inside the airport. Law enforcement quickly cleared the terminal and began sweeping the building.

Witnesses described seeing heavy police presence and K9 units while thousands of travelers waited outside the building or near aircraft on the runway area.
The Kansas City Aviation Department said it is working with the FBI to determine whether the threat is credible.
Officials have not confirmed that any explosive device was found, and the investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to restore normal airport operations.
