Fired, Gutted, Erased: DOGE’s Grip on America’s Government
Hiring, regulations, entire agencies—nothing is safe from the administration’s power grab.
First, they cut jobs. Then, they seized control of hiring. Now, they have the power to erase entire agencies at will.
What started as a so-called efficiency push has turned into a full-blown power grab. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), created by President Donald J. Trump and run by Elon Musk, was supposed to trim bureaucratic waste. Instead, it’s been handed a chainsaw and the authority to reshape the entire federal government with no oversight, no congressional approval, and no apparent limits.
With a series of executive orders, President Trump has transformed DOGE from a budget-slashing gimmick into the most potent agency in Washington. This isn’t about saving money anymore. This is about control.

Step One: Take Over Hiring and Firing
The first executive order, Executive Order 14158, signed on January 20, 2025, created DOGE and tasked it with “streamlining” government operations. In theory, this meant cutting inefficiencies. In reality, it was a blank check for mass layoffs. Thousands of federal employees, from nuclear stockpile managers to infectious disease experts, were suddenly out of work, with no plan to replace them.
Then came Executive Order 14175, signed on February 11, 2025, which locked down federal hiring. Agencies can now only replace one out of every four employees who leave. That means entire departments are bleeding staff, and no one can stop it. If an agency needs to hire, DOGE must approve every single position.
Let that sink in.
The agency that exists to cut government jobs now controls who gets hired across every federal department. That’s not “efficiency.” That’s a stranglehold on the entire federal workforce.
Step Two: Control the Independent Agencies
One week later, President Trump signed Executive Order 14182 on February 18, 2025, titled Ensuring Accountability for All Agencies. Sounds harmless, right? Wrong.
This order forces independent regulatory agencies to submit their rules to the White House before they take effect. Agencies like the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) no longer have the final say over their own regulations.
Think about that. The agencies meant to police Wall Street, prevent corporate fraud, and regulate Big Tech now answer to a White House run by a businessman-turned-president and a billionaire “efficiency expert” who openly despises regulation.
The message is clear: Play ball or get shut down.
Step Three: Erase the Agencies They Don’t Like
DOGE’s biggest power grab is its new ability to wipe entire federal agencies off the map by labeling them “inefficient.” No congressional vote. No public debate. Just a handful of bureaucrats deciding which departments live or die.
And they’re wasting no time making a hit list.
Agencies Reportedly Under DOGE Review for Elimination:
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) – Created to protect people from predatory banks and lenders. Big banks hate it. DOGE wants it gone. It was quickly gutted and faces complete elimination.
U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)—Manages U.S. foreign aid and disaster relief. Apparently, helping starving countries is now “inefficient.” DOGE spread misinformation about the agency, which is now a shell at risk of complete annihilation.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) – Oversees pollution laws and climate regulations. Oil companies are celebrating. Wait. Wasn’t Musk supposed to be the King of Green?
Department of Education – Provides federal funding and oversight for schools. DOGE calls it “redundant.” Translation: Public education is on the chopping block.
National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and Humanities (NEH) – Support for the arts and public broadcasting. If it doesn’t make a profit, DOGE doesn’t want it to exist.
And that’s just the beginning.
What Happens Now?
DOGE was supposed to be a cost-cutting tool. Instead, it’s centralizing power, gutting agencies, and turning the federal government into a puppet show controlled by a handful of insiders.
This isn’t about “reducing government waste.” It’s about rewriting the rules of governance, bypassing Congress, and putting every federal agency under the direct control of a single, unelected entity.
Government employees are trapped in limbo, not knowing if their agencies will exist next month. Regulatory bodies are powerless against corporate influence. Essential services are getting slashed under the guise of “efficiency.”
And the worst part? There is no oversight.
Congress has been completely cut out of the process. These changes are happening without legislation, without debate, and without public input. The courts may step in, but by the time legal challenges play out, DOGE could already have wiped out entire agencies and reshaped the workforce beyond repair.
This Isn’t About Efficiency. It’s a Power Grab.
President Trump and Elon Musk have turned DOGE into the most powerful agency in America. It now controls hiring, regulations, and the very existence of federal departments.
That’s not government reform.
That’s a hostile takeover. Call it by its name; it is a coup.

When is the War on GREED going to start?
This was all called for in Project 2025 - we were warned (and some of us did the warning) - now, we are here - at the end of democracy barring action to slow, delay, stop the madness.
