Four Dead in Livonia Family Shooting After Suspect Surrenders to Police
A 25-year-old man is accused of killing four family members inside a Livonia home before surrendering to police Tuesday evening.
According to Livonia Police, officers responding to a home on Rensellor Street found four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The dead were identified as Sterling Pierce, 58, Holly Kimball, 53, Tanner Pierce, 22, and Tanner Pierce’s 21-year-old girlfriend.
Police Chief Tom Goralski said the suspect emerged from the home with his hands raised and told officers he had shot his family. He was taken into custody without incident.

Investigators say they have not determined a motive. Police acknowledged the suspect had a contentious relationship with his parents but emphasized the investigation remains in its early stages.
Authorities also said there had been no prior police calls to the residence.
The case has drawn significant attention across Metro Detroit as residents react to one of the area’s deadliest family shootings in recent years. The suspect is expected to face charges as the investigation continues.
