Heritage Foundation Faces Major Staff Exodus Amid Antisemitism Rift and Leadership Clash
More than a dozen staffers have walked away from the Heritage Foundation, signaling a dramatic fracture within one of the conservative movement’s most powerful policy organizations. The departures matter now because they reflect broader ideological fissures over antisemitism and the future identity of the right-wing policy world.
The turmoil escalated after Heritage President Kevin Roberts defended a controversial October interview between former Fox host Tucker Carlson and far-right figure Nick Fuentes, sparking internal backlash and accusations that the institution was tolerating antisemitic influence. Many long-time staff said they could not continue under the current leadership.
According to Reuters, over the weekend multiple senior employees including heads of legal, economic and data analysis teams have resigned or been terminated, with many joining Advancing American Freedom, a nonprofit led by former Vice President Mike Pence aiming to bolster traditional conservative policy work.

The departures include high-profile policy scholars and draw-downs on Heritage’s intellectual capital at a time when the think tank is already under strain. Three of the organization’s board trustees have also resigned amid the controversy.
“We wish them well, though the manner of their departures speaks volumes,” Roberts wrote in a Sunday night email announcing the exodus, highlighting deep internal dissatisfaction.
The crisis has amplified tensions between populist-nationalist currents aligned with Carlson and more traditional conservative voices uncomfortable with perceived shifts in Heritage’s mission and tone.
Heritage officials have characterized some departures as disloyal and driven by political jockeying rather than principled objection, adding another layer of conflict to the dispute.
What happens next…
This will hinge on whether Heritage can stabilize its research capacity and define a clear ideological footing amid a conservative landscape increasingly divided over direction, leadership and core principles.

I am sure Miller/Vought wing are saying good riddance to the Mike Pence wing of this movement. So we still have to wait until next year to hopefully beat them at the ballot box. OMG, after 1968 Republicans have built their party on Dixiecrats. So what's new besides being OUT about it.
