In a moment of rising censorship and government watchlists, the fight for Warner Bros. is about far more than streaming rights. It’s about democracy, dissent, and who controls our cultural future.
And who is at the center of the hostile takeover attempt but Jared Kushner. Congress? Courts ? We are so f___ed up. Did Project 2025 open the door to the criminalization of our government and the decimation of orderly society in their blind ambition to bring us back to the 1950s. End this horror before it is too late
What I appreciate in your framing is that this isn’t just a business story, it’s about who gets to curate media reality probably for the next decade. Whether it’s Netflix bombing the theatrical distribution game or Paramount tying broadcast networks to political donors and foreign investors, BOTH directions ruin "competition" in the space. The real danger isn’t a single merger either, it’s the slow normalization of cultural power being auctioned off. This is a horrible shift especially if Netflix sells the Discovery Global side to Paramount... big loss.
I feel overwhelmed, depressed and powerless as I'm not eating well and losing not only weight but my sense of self. I haven't bought breakfast or lunch foods since 2019. No more Thanksgivings or Christmases as well. Couldn't afford new car battery in 2021 after big Texas freeze so my beautiful, paid off Mercury Mountaineer was towed away by apartment complex and couldn't afford to get it back. Medical bills piled up ruining my credit. When I look up from the hole I'm in I can barely see light. Biding the time I have left in a dark room watching TV by my lonesome. Sister was family executrix and stole and spent my inheritance of $70,000 before I discovered it even existed and -as yet to repay a single penny since 2009. Haven't even met my 7 grandsons who live 900 miles away. No $ to see them nor $ to get abdominal hernia surgery that I desperately need to maintain my health. This only puts the frosting on the s**t cake were being served these days.
Is there any way to prevent either company/both companies from acquiring Warner Brothers? Ant-monopoly laws?
It can be challenged but our anti-monoply laws are virtually nonexistent.

I'm so sorry you've had to endure this. May better days be coming, and soon.
