It helps to have our reps in Congress and our Senators supporting the protests. Fortunately, I’m glad I have all 3, not all are so lucky. (Thank you Jeff for your marathon speech!). And to Ron Wyden for being an advocate for his constituents and over the years for seniors. And Val for her efforts to connect with her constituents even when the one issue folks try to shout her down. If we keep up the protests, those who represent us in both halls will keep the pressure on their peers in both houses of Congress. It seems to be starting to work, some republicans have started to reach across the aisle. And the more we can do that, the more we force the other side to see all of our existing humanity. That is a win!
