“In The Works”: Erika Kirk Says TPUSA Planning Full 2028 Push For JD Vance
Turning Point USA may already be lining up behind Vice President JD Vance for the 2028 presidential race, according to new comments from Erika Kirk, the organization’s recently installed CEO.

Kirk made the disclosure during a recent appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, where she said it is “in the works” for TPUSA to support Vance if he runs. She added that the plan traces back to conversations she had with her late husband, Charlie Kirk, shortly before his death earlier this year.
According to Kirk, Charlie was “very intentional” about backing Vance for the next open GOP presidential cycle and wanted TPUSA to use its massive youth-mobilization network to help shape the field early. “This was one of the last few conversations Charlie and I had,” she said, describing Vance as someone her husband believed could carry forward the movement’s vision.
The comments immediately fueled speculation about TPUSA’s role in the post-Trump landscape. The group remains one of the most influential conservative organizations in the country, with a deep presence on college campuses and a large digital following. An early endorsement — especially one tied to Charlie Kirk’s legacy — could give Vance a significant advantage with young conservative voters if he does decide to run.
Vance has not yet announced a 2028 bid, but he has become one of the most prominent figures in the Trump administration and maintains a close relationship with the Kirk family. His recent appearances at TPUSA events have already drawn attention to his potential national ambitions.
Kirk did not provide a timeline for when any formal move might happen, but her comments suggest TPUSA is preparing to play a major role in shaping the Republican Party’s next presidential primary.
