Iran IRGC Warns It Will Destroy OpenAI’s Stargate Facility in UAE Video Threat
Iran has escalated tensions by directly threatening OpenAI’s massive AI data center project in Abu Dhabi, raising new concerns about tech infrastructure becoming a military target.
According to reporting from The Verge, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps released a video warning it would destroy U.S.-linked facilities if American forces strike Iranian power systems.
The threat specifically names OpenAI’s Stargate project, a multibillion-dollar AI data hub backed by major U.S. tech firms.

The video reportedly shows satellite imagery of the site and claims it is fully visible despite attempts to obscure it online.
The warning follows earlier reported attacks on Amazon Web Services data centers in the region, signaling a shift toward targeting digital infrastructure.
It remains unclear whether Iran has the capability to carry out such an attack, and OpenAI has not publicly responded.
But the move signals growing risk for AI and cloud infrastructure in geopolitically sensitive regions.
