Israel Strike Kills 90+ in Beirut After Civilians Flee Warned Zones
Israel warned civilians to evacuate parts of Beirut, then carried out strikes in other areas without notice, raising new questions about how the conflict in Lebanon is being conducted.
According to Washington Post reporting, Israeli forces told residents to leave Beirut’s southern suburbs but later bombed central Beirut, where many displaced civilians had relocated. Those strikes killed more than 90 people, with residential buildings and public areas hit.

Israel said the targets were Hezbollah command sites but acknowledged that warnings were not always issued due to operational concerns.
At the same time, Reuters reports Israeli forces remain active in southern Lebanon despite a U.S.-mediated ceasefire, maintaining buffer zones and restricting civilian returns.
Lebanon has filed a complaint with the United Nations as the death toll continues to rise and displacement spreads.
The situation highlights growing tension between military strategy and civilian safety.
