Massie Blasts Trump as “Epstein Administration” in Fiery ABC Interview
Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky took a sharp public shot at former President Donald Trump on ABC’s This Week Sunday, accusing Trump of backtracking on promises of transparency and tying him to what Massie called the “Epstein class.”
Massie’s comments underline a growing feud between him and Trump, who has endorsed a primary challenger, retired Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein, in Kentucky’s 4th District ahead of the May primary. The former president has repeatedly criticized Massie — including publicly calling him a “moron” — as part of the campaign to unseat the incumbent.
In the interview, Massie blamed Trump and his allies for resisting calls to fully release and review all unredacted documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s network, saying Trump had assured Republicans he would push for transparency but had “not” lived up to that pledge.

The timing of the remarks adds extra tension to an already heated primary battle, where Trump’s influence versus Massie’s independence is a central theme.
“Look, this is about the Epstein class … and they’re attacking me for trying to get these files released,” Massie said.
The clash matters because it highlights deepening divisions within the GOP over loyalty to party leadership and accountability on sensitive investigations involving powerful figures.
With Kentucky’s Republican primary just months away, both campaigns are likely to intensify their messaging.
What happens next: Expect more direct exchanges between Massie and Trump allies as the May primary approaches.
