Missouri Supreme Court Upholds GOP Map as South Carolina Redistricting Fails
President Donald Trump’s push to reshape U.S. House districts produced split results Tuesday, with South Carolina senators blocking a redistricting move while Missouri’s top court upheld a new congressional map that could help Republicans.
In South Carolina, the state House had supported returning after the regular session to consider a new map, including one that could threaten the state’s only Democratic-held congressional seat. But the Senate also had to approve the move, and senators refused to take it up.

In Missouri, the state Supreme Court upheld a Republican-backed map affecting a Kansas City-based district represented by Democratic Rep. Emanuel Cleaver. The ruling keeps another Trump-backed redistricting win alive ahead of the midterms.
The update lands inside a larger national redistricting fight. Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee and Virginia are also seeing court rulings or legislative action that could reshape the House map before voters decide control of Congress.
