The suspect barricaded inside a residence during a large law enforcement response that led authorities to issue a shelter-in-place advisory for nearby residents. The suspect later surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
Court records reviewed by local media indicate the suspect, identified as Bryan Andrew Moore, was booked on murder and kidnapping-related charges. Investigators have not yet released a motive.
For the Portland metro area, the incident represents one of the region’s most serious violence investigations of the year. The case also underscores how domestic violence calls can rapidly escalate into deadly encounters affecting victims, neighborhoods, and responding officers.
Investigators are expected to release additional details regarding the victims, charges, and circumstances surrounding the shooting as the investigation continues.
