Nancy Mace Pushes Subpoena of AG Pam Bondi After Epstein Documents Removed
Rep. Nancy Mace is pushing the House Oversight Committee to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi over the Justice Department’s handling of files tied to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The move escalates a growing fight in Washington over whether the DOJ fully complied with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a 2025 law requiring the release of records connected to the sex-trafficking investigation.
According to reporting from The Washington Times and other outlets, Mace argues key documents were released and then quietly removed from the DOJ’s public database without explanation. She has demanded answers directly from Bondi and says Congress may need to compel testimony.

The controversy comes as lawmakers from both parties review millions of Epstein-related records at a secure Justice Department facility. Some members of Congress say the files still contain heavy redactions or missing materials, raising questions about whether the law was fully followed.
The Justice Department has insisted it released the records required under the transparency law.
If the committee agrees, Bondi could soon face direct questioning under oath about the government’s handling of the Epstein files.
