Officials Assess Damage After Tornadoes Tear Through Wisconsin, Minnesota
Tornadoes and destructive winds tore through parts of the Midwest Friday night, leaving widespread damage but no reported deaths, creating a rare high-impact, low-casualty event.
According to the Associated Press, storms hit Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota, ripping roofs off homes, toppling trees, and blocking rural roads with debris. Communities like Ringle, Wisconsin, and Marion Township, Minnesota saw dozens of homes damaged.
Officials say the lack of fatalities stands out given the scale of destruction, but the situation is far from resolved. Emergency crews responded to trapped residents, while entire towns faced power outages and inaccessible roads.
