Oregon Shooting in Sandy Leaves Multiple Victims Dead as Officer Survives Gunfire
Multiple people were killed and a Sandy police officer was wounded after a shooting linked to a reported domestic disturbance Sunday afternoon in Sandy, Oregon, according to authorities.
Police said officers and Clackamas County sheriff’s deputies responded around 4 p.m. to reports of a shooting and domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, they came under gunfire and returned fire.
One officer suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was airlifted to a hospital. Officials said the officer is expected to survive.

Authorities confirmed multiple victims died at the scene, though investigators had not released an exact number of fatalities or the identities of those killed as of Monday.
