Robichaux won 53% of the vote to Wilson’s 47%, according to unofficial results from the city. Nearly 18,000 voters cast ballots in the December 2 runoff — a significant turnout for a municipal contest.
Though the race was officially nonpartisan, the election drew clear political contrasts. Wilson, a Republican-aligned incumbent, received public backing from Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, who urged voters to keep him in office and praised his tenure as keeping Roswell “safe and thriving.” Robichaux, who represented District 48 in the Georgia House from 2019 to 2023, ran on increasing transparency, boosting community trust, and involving residents more directly in development decisions.
The runoff was triggered after neither candidate secured a majority in the November 4 general election, where the race was separated by just 185 votes.
Robichaux’s victory marks a notable shift in local leadership and makes her the city’s next mayor beginning in January. She becomes the third person to hold the position since 2017, following long-running debates in Roswell over growth, zoning, and public engagement.
Robichaux celebrated the strong turnout, saying residents “had their voices heard” in a decisive contest that drew citywide attention.
Wilson, who first took office in 2021, has not yet announced future political plans.
