Sunday Funnies: Special Triple Feature, Part I
Because reality tapped out and the memes took over.
Trump’s birthday weekend gave America exactly what nobody ordered: oligarchs, branding exercises, sweaty men pawing at one another, and enough symbolism to make a film studies professor weep.
The headlines were so absurd that the memes barely had to exaggerate.
As always, we present this week’s news in the format it increasingly deserves: pictures with captions.
And since it is a special occasion and the memes were so good, we decided to treat you to a triple feature. Enjoy!
Gilded Age 2.0: Now With Better Branding
If branding were accurate… Our only criticism is that the creator used the young Baron instead of the current version, which is alarming and beginning to resemble an “If They Mated” orgy of Stephen Miller and Justin Trudeau.
The tarp wasn’t hiding the work; it was completing the metaphor. Sadly, this image didn’t capture the rainbow or drag queens.
We used to worry about media bias. Now we’re speedrunning media ownership. Tell us again how the media is a leftist, woke propaganda wing?
At some point, “wealth creation” starts looking suspiciously like dragon behavior. The difference is that dragons kindly hide in mountain caves, are rarely seen in public, can be defeated by loyal knights, and are entirely fictional.
The bumper sticker somehow contains more policy detail than most campaign ads. Frankly, we feel this artist was a bit generous with his caricature.
That’s it for Part I of our Birthday Spectacular. Take care of yourselves, drink some water, and remember: if a story sounds too absurd to be true, there’s a decent chance it happened this week. Back in a few hours for Part II because apparently the news cycle doesn’t believe in pacing.

Thanks for the humor. The fact of the matter is that later I’m going to a Gay Pride Party with lots of colored people. Will ICE come and shoot some of us like they did to Renee Goode? Only two short years ago that thought would have never entered my mind. I believe that the Trump family grift is becoming obvious even to Trumplicans. I believe Trump thinks the end of his grip on power is real. He will flail all about and whine and scream Election fraud louder everyday. We must close our ears to the jackass’s braying!
