Trump didn't come up with all this himself. Does he not realize how he is being instrumentalized, or does he like doing it because he is a megalomaniac?

I wonder if preserving knowledge will take the form of storing or memorizing books just like in Fahrenheit 451 is a viable idea.

AI is being rewritten in America. That doesn't mean history's being rewritten throughout the world.

The AI models are cruel. Trump and MAGA base are vial.

First, thank you again, Marie, for another excellent article. Here are my immediate thoughts:

I come from a family of Matriarchs who, to this day, adhere to the oral history traditions of West Africa. Because of this, we know our history, especially our history since we were brought to America as slaves. I can relate our story, tale after tale, for hours on end, not from incorrect half-truths recorded in our history textbooks or from AI; rather, our (my) stories come from 1st hand accounts passed down directly to me from my great grandmother, my grandmother, my mother, my aunties. Having this knowledge enabled us to thrive even when we were in chains. We were always educated, literate, and involved in the positive evolution of our communities in spite of laws prohibiting slaves from knowing how to read and write. We were nurses, teachers, guides. I kinda like to think of us as town criers sounding the alarm. Well, today it's past time to bang the drums and blow the conch horns because the world is obviously at a major crossroads and the entire planet is in crisis. I believe we must return to many of our abandoned traditions like local and familial storytelling, rites of passage, and critical apprenticeships in order to weather this storm. To snatch back our power, we must look back in order to move forward. What do I mean by that in practical terms?

Don't play by their rules. Even they don't play by their rules. They make them up and change them daily to benefit the 1% at the expense of the rest of us. Don't let them control the narrative. If they say AI, we have to say, "BLACK OUT DAY!" Hit the "Off" switch on electronics. Shut it down. Toss the proverbial Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) at the usurpers. We can start by the oft repeated directive, "Each One Teach One." We've ceded too much control to our defunct and corrupt government. As responsible adults, we must find ways to wrest back our narratives from liars, thieves, murderers, rapists, and con artists who masquerade as politicians. They are not our friends. They've repeatedly demonstrated that they do NOT have our interests at heart. Time to cut the umbilical cord.

Love this! Yes, unplug. And return to oral history

Sometimes, it's better to take the better path, than to kowtow to a madman! Just ask Germany!

And, it's so simple. If Congress would stand up and exert the authority vested in it, felon would be gone before Christmas! And, to help them along, "We The People" must stand up and demand that felon is impeached, convicted, and thrown out, or employ the 25th Amendment. Either way, we have the power to force change!

It's now time for everyday people to ban together, tell Congress "Enough is Enough!" and give them 30 days to take action; otherwise they best look for a real job; because their bid in the Congress is up!!
