I think breaking into your political opponents party offices and then getting pardoned for it is foundational to what the GOP has become. Every single GOP President since Nixon has gotten progressively more corrupt than the last.
There's also a neurochemistry component to this. The MAGA cult gets an adrenaline hit and a dopamine hit with the anger he generates. It's very definitely a chemical addiction on top of everything else.
I have to correct one aspect of these proclamations. Trump didn't turn conservatism into a weapon, the Bushes did! Remember the 2000 election?? They laid the Blueprint for trump to use, decades later, to steal the election. The Bushes used the Supreme Court to effectively overturn Gore's win.
Now, getting back to trump. Trump is neither conservative nor republican. He's just a racist, greedy, mean-spirited, bent-on-revenge, little boy, who was hated by his own mother, in an adult body, covered by an ugly blue suit, with a red tie, that symbolizes the blood he's shed, and continues to shed, of people he either is envious of, are of a minority persuasion, or who shines a light on his numerous crimes. Now, this is the truth about the felon in the WH.
Another truth, however, is about those who say they're conservative, like former president ronald reagan, who actually did win his race under the normal "rules-of-the-game," unlike the felon that other operatives, like that guy from S. Africa, helped to steal, yet another election. But, he used racism, in order to whip other racist americans into a frenzy, with the "Make America Great Again" slogan, the code word for make america white again, and buy into felon's lies, to their own demise!
So, it's racism that trump weaponized, not conservatism, like Reagan sold!

We need to talk about the deranged animal who trained another deranged animal. Fred Drumpf trained Donald to fraudulently cheat on taxes, mentally and possibly physically abuse women, bullying tactics toward everyone in general. Training in how to get away with lies had to be taught also.
