Todd Blanche Shuts Down Epstein File Releases After Bondi Firing Fallout
Interim Attorney General Todd Blanche is rejecting a key narrative around Pam Bondi’s sudden firing — while also shutting the door on one of the most scrutinized investigations in the country.
Blanche said Bondi was not removed over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, despite widespread criticism tied to delays, redactions, and missing disclosures. According to The Independent, he insisted President Trump “never” linked her dismissal to the Epstein controversy.
At the same time, Blanche confirmed there will be no further releases of Epstein-related documents, arguing the Justice Department has already disclosed everything required.
That claim is disputed. Lawmakers from both parties and outside critics say significant material may still be unreleased, keeping pressure on the DOJ.
Bondi’s tenure had been defined by the Epstein saga, including her earlier claim that a “client list” existed before walking it back.
Her firing follows months of internal frustration from Trump, according to multiple reports, raising new questions about what actually drove the decision and whether the Epstein case is truly over.
