Trump Escalates Iran Threat, Says Strike Could Come “Tomorrow Night”
President Donald Trump escalated tensions with Iran Monday, warning the U.S. could “take out” the country “in one night… maybe tomorrow night” during a White House press conference.
The threat came with a deadline, raising the possibility of imminent large-scale strikes if Iran refuses to agree to terms.
According to Reuters and The Wall Street Journal, Trump said Iran must comply by Tuesday night or face attacks targeting infrastructure like power plants and bridges. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth added that the heaviest strikes of the campaign are already underway, with more expected.

The remarks came as Iran rejected ceasefire proposals and signaled it would continue fighting, according to the Associated Press.
At the same briefing, Trump highlighted a high-risk U.S. mission that rescued a downed American airman inside Iran, involving hundreds of personnel and deception tactics.
The combination of an active rescue operation, ongoing strikes, and a hard deadline is raising new concerns about how quickly the conflict could escalate.
