Trump Faces Approval Collapse to 37% as Economy and Iran War Collide
President Donald Trump’s approval rating has dropped to one of its lowest points of his second term, driven by rising economic pressure and backlash over the Iran war.
According to an NBC News Decision Desk Poll, just 37% of Americans approve of Trump’s performance, while 63% disapprove.
The conflict comes as voters increasingly blame the administration for rising costs, with inflation and the cost of living topping national concerns.

Other polling shows similar movement. Reuters/Ipsos found Trump’s approval falling to 36% as fuel prices surged following the Iran conflict, with only 29% approving of his economic leadership.
The divide is widening beyond party lines, with majorities disapproving of both Trump’s handling of the economy and the war.
Analysts say the overlap between foreign policy fallout and domestic affordability concerns is creating a compounded political risk heading into the midterms.
