Trump Says ‘Nothing Came Out About Me’ After Epstein Files Mention Him Hundreds of Times
President Donald Trump reacted to the latest tranche of Jeffrey Epstein files by calling for the story to be dropped and asserting that “nothing came out about me,” after his name appeared repeatedly in newly released documents.
In comments at a White House, Trump said he wanted the nation to “get on to something else,” pushing back against reporters’ questions about the files’ contents.
The Justice Department on Jan. 30 released a massive batch of Epstein-associated records — roughly 3 million pages of documents, images and videos — after Congress passed and Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act last year. According to reporting on the release, Trump’s name is mentioned hundreds of times, and the files include communications and photographs tied to Epstein’s network.

Trump and his team have denied any wrongdoing with Epstein, asserting that references in the files are being mischaracterized and that nothing incriminating has surfaced. He has also denied ever visiting Epstein’s private island, a point raised in previous document summaries.
That line of defense has collided with renewed media scrutiny. In an Oval Office exchange, Trump criticized a CNN reporter for pressing him about redactions and victims’ names in the documents, calling her the “worst reporter” after she asked about the files.
Legal and political fallout continues as Congress and survivors’ advocates press for further transparency. Many of the Epstein records remain redacted, and debates over what should be made public are ongoing. What emerges next from hearings or court battles could deepen pressure on the administration’s handling of the disclosure.
