Walz Demands Trump’s MRI Results — Trump Says He Doesn’t Know What the Scan Was For
A feud between President Donald Trump and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz intensified this weekend after Walz publicly urged the president to release the results of a recent MRI he received at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The clash began after Trump used a disability-related slur against Walz on Thanksgiving, prompting the governor to question Trump’s health and call for full transparency.

According to reporting, Walz demanded Trump release the MRI taken on October 10, arguing that the public deserves clarity about the president’s physical condition. The White House previously confirmed Trump underwent “advanced imaging” earlier in the fall as part of a routine exam.
Trump addressed the issue during a Sunday gaggle with reporters aboard Air Force One. In audio shared widely on social media, Trump insisted the results were “perfect” and said he would release them if people wanted. When a reporter asked what part of his body the MRI examined, Trump responded that he didn’t know, adding, “It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and aced it.”
Neither the White House nor Trump’s physician has offered details about why the scan was ordered, what area was imaged, or what doctors evaluated. The vague description has fueled calls for more information, particularly given Trump’s age and the precedent of more detailed disclosures under past administrations.
Walz later said it was “not normal” for a patient to be unable to recall the purpose of an MRI, calling the situation part of a broader concern over presidential medical transparency. Democrats and some health experts are now urging the White House to release the full results.
The episode adds to growing voter scrutiny of health, age, and fitness as the 2026 cycle approaches.
