Maslow's pyramid of needs: governments ignore it at their peril. I wouldn't blame the younger generation for standing up and saying, "We've had enough of your bullshit!" Heck, it routinely works in France. Vive la révolution!! 🇺🇸

Yes this is so true.I have also personally read some very disturbing musings by some youth towards the rich or upper middle class that raised the hair on the back of my neck.I think the politicians and all of us for that matter ignore the youth at our own peril.

Absolutely beautifully simply way of stating how the USA is shooting itself in the foot by not truly helping the next generation. Everything you wrote is true, and I'm 51 and obv. not Gen Z. Dems & Reps point at each other as "you're to blame" but it's both. Gen Z knows it because they are the smartest generation. They are told they are in the greatest country in the world and they rightfully say "how?" Trump just proves how out of touch he continues to be by saying baffling things like "affordability is a scam" and "there's too many people on SNAP" and "grocery is a new word. A great word." Gen Z, among most of us, listens to that and wonders if they will ever get anywhere in life. This article should be required reading!

It hurts knowing my kid's generation will have half the generational wealth that I did, as a member of generation X. I tell my daughter that she did everything right, but the system has failed her.
