From the Great Smoky Mountains to the Senate floor, this nomination isn’t just about nature. It’s about capitalism, federal agencies, and whether the law still means anything at all.
For this regime, loyalty is the first and only consideration. There’s not a competent person in any cabinet position. Or for that matter, in the oval office.
I am from Tennessee so naturally I related to your post. Our problem is much bigger than Donald Trump and his pick fo this park.
We have 13 families in the world that control the world's wealth. Therefore, they spend their money to control the media, governments, hospitals, and so on. There is a common theme though. ✡️
No argument there. It's the same with putting a sycophant like Lee Zeldin in charge of the EPA who will do Trump's evil bidding on doing away with environmental regulations and policies to mitigate climate change. Earl Cantos
Trump rewards loyalty not competence. As the saying goes, a wooden cabinet has more brains than Trump’s. Nonetheless, what is going on is terrifying as more and more of our hallowed institutions fall away. We have to keep democracy from falling too.
Everyon please understand that we Americans of the working class's have been under the control of a government bought by corporate and wall street investors money. The best definition for our current government is that it is a Two Party Corporate Duopoly System designed to provide economic socialism to the US wealth hierarchy, over and despite the needs of the other class, we the working class's, both blue and white collar. Four simple internet searches will provide an indepth understanding. 1. What's behind The Lewis Powell Memo. 2. What's behind Trickle-down Economics Theory. 3. What's behind Citizens United. 4. What's behind the United States Unfettered Capitalism.
The National parks, and infant every park state and local are designated as property of the people. No government entity, including the Whitehouse has any authority over those lands. They do have but one and only responsibility towards them, and that is their maintenance and retention to the American people. I don't believe that my understanding of the law governing those lands is nieve in anyway. It's our responsibility to ourselves, to demand hands off, to any corporate interest.
I appreciate and strongly agree with your perspectives and opinions about protecting national parks -and also State parks and other natural wonders from “ attraction developers” who only see our natural treasures as tourist magnets and profit centers.
The unique natural wonders of the USA deserve the respect due to sites considered sacred, and for the same reasons. Despoiling them and exploiting them for profit is equally reprehensible.

The oligarchs want every stitch of land to build their 'freedom cities'.

This is the result of a criminal demented psychopath running your business; I mean COUNTRY.
