White House Orders Defense Giants to Ramp Weapons Output After Iran Strikes
The White House is preparing a high-stakes meeting with top U.S. weapons manufacturers as Washington races to replenish military stockpiles after recent combat operations.
According to Reuters, executives from major defense contractors including Lockheed Martin and RTX, the parent company of Raytheon, are expected to meet at the White House Friday to discuss accelerating weapons production.
The push follows heavy use of missiles, artillery systems, and other munitions in recent U.S. strikes on Iran as well as ongoing military support tied to conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.

Officials familiar with the planning say the Pentagon is increasingly concerned about the pace of weapons production compared to the speed at which supplies are being consumed.
The administration is also weighing a supplemental defense request of roughly $50 billion to replenish equipment used in recent operations.
At least one source told Reuters the meeting will likely focus on pressuring defense contractors to ramp up output faster, particularly for key systems such as Tomahawk cruise missiles.
The gathering highlights growing tension between government urgency and the slower industrse sector as global conflicts strain U.S. military supply chains.
