Great piece General! We've been let down by all our public institutions. The lack of personal courage in politics, the courts and the military is astounding given the amount of historical reverence we've always bestowed upon them. I guess Profiles in Courage means nothing when EVERYTHING is for sale. Who knew that pussy grabbing could not only be so profitable but that it would also change the world...
Individuals with conscience have always understood that conscience has a price. Conscience for what just and right always prevails in the end, as it should.
Every small spark of resistance will ignite our fury to vote this hated filled admin into a lame duck admin. Please make sure you are registered now & vote them out.
The line about Congress doing its job then explaining it to the people rings true. They are not doing their job which is to support what their constituents voted them in to do, the majority are bootlickers and kowtowing to the president. Start listening to your constituents, explain to them why your votes are making it harder to put food on the table, clothes on their backs, and healthcare beyond the expense of many. And while that happens, it’s okay to spend our tax dollars on the whims of the self centered child in the White House. I think our man in uniform knew that he was risking, but I support him. It’s time for more of us to take those risks.
Great point. I know this was to bring attention to the situation. But, it was also a message to the top brass in the Pentagon. They are about to face real resistance from the average soldier.
