Truly horrifying - this is, I fear, just the beginning.

They're a lot more creative than I thought in how they were going to take down the Deparment of Education. I work in higher education and proving your course or program is effective and helps students with data is critical. You don't get funding if you're not effective and helping students meet learning outcomes. By getting rid of the way you prove you're not effective, there's nothing to prove you are. And no one is paying attention to this because they've flooded the zone with so much information. It's truly horrifying to watch.

Does the loss of equality in education take us back to segregated schools and missed opportunities. Is the quality of curriculum, teachers, school buildings be based on ethnicity?

How will these and future cuts affect special needs education?

These cuts are going to be used to eliminate all public education and privatize it. These first cuts are cutting program assessment. If you can't prove a program works, you can easily say it doesn't because there's no evidence to say otherwise. These people want the public to be stupid and keep power without resistance. Education is one of the few things that move people out of poverty and allow for social mobility. They want none of that. It's sad that they can see that this would just screw the country in the future.

Does anyone find it somewhat disturbing that the acronym Musk came up with for the title of his new department is DOGE and Musk's crypto currency affiliation is DOGECOIN?
