I wish the thoughts and prayers worked for me. It seems so easy to be stupid. I really like the pictures that you have in this article. Thank you for sticking up for the children of America. They really need it.

Thanks, I am beyond tired and heartbroken 💔 We are at the point where almost any one in America can get a phone call that someone you know or love will be shot in public. What the actual FUCK!!!!!

The hater-in-chief stokes fear for power grabs. He is WEAK. A life without virtue.

I’ve said it other posts today: there are rights and then there are responsibilities. There shouldn’t be the former without the latter. The many who are hiding behind their own interpretation of the second amendment have no responsibility for it, therefore denying a large number of people their right to live. And many of the former call themselves Christian—what would Jesus say?

You would think he would be all about ending gun violence.

I think part - a big part - of the problem is that social media has killed the art of conversation and debate. These days it's "This is my opinion, period!" And the most extreme opinions drive the likes and the algorithms that scatter ever more extreme views into ordinary folks' newsfeeds and amplify them inside an echo chamber. People get angrier, less likely to listen to reason, whilst the quiet, rational and reasoned majority get drowned-out. And it's habitual now. As a species, we don't have reasoned debate. Even in parliaments and congress all over. I don't know what the answer is. I don't even know if my view is correct. I'm concerned though that it's going to take a bloodbath before everyone stops dead in their tracks in shock and says, as one, "Ok, it's time we changed."

Discuss... 😁

An article that should never need to be written but does. The first rule of government is to protect your citizens. In this case with the caveat of, "unless the status quo makes you and your sponsors rich".

I think Jon Stewart summed it up nicely last week too: https://youtu.be/V4B5PLgYz38

We are in big trouble as a nation. The Overton window has stretched so far that the extreme left and right wings of our parties are driving the discourse in the nation. This has to be corrected before we spiral into lawlessness!!!
