Not sure I’m convinced that this could blow up on the right. But I can sure see these forces being deployed in minority and migrant communities, and liberal areas, like here in DC, and serving in all sorts of insidious ways to ‘erase’ the presence, agency and votes, etc. of disfavored people.
I think that’s the initial focus. Disappear as much resistance as possible and as many immigrants as possible. Anyone undesirable in their eyes. Anyone who might fight back or even rock the boat. Problem is, they could rid the US of all democrats and that wouldn’t stop many of their children from growing up and hating them for what they’re doing and forming a rebellion. That whole thing about not paying attention to history? Yeah, oppression is not a sustainable model for society.

I haven't read the whole article, but would also add that this branch of the military will also be used to disrupt voting. trumpstein pulls ideas out of his ass. Who would be shocked by him saying these troops are deployed so we have a state of emergency ( as opposed to we have a state of emergency so the troops are deployed) & voting is suspended indefinately?
