The chemicals used to straighten our hair are toxic carcinogens.

I agree about the many faces of racism and elitism. A whole lot of white folks would love to turn back the clock to the colonial days when Europoids enslaved or otherwise subjugated the entire world, including the think-they-white Clarence Thomases out there. Unfortunately for these Never-Never-Landers, many of us the world over are very much WOKE, interconnected, educated, colorful, powerful, and pissed. I sincerely believe (pray) that we not goin' back to sleep. Your article is pertinent to this thread. I'm just saying that right now, at this moment, we face an existential threat. For me, hair is not in the top 10 of MY most pressing concerns.

As Super-Star, Kendrick Lamar rapped at the Super Bowl event!

“THEY’RE NOT LIKE US”!

Black hair is completely different than other hair! And there are many types of hair within the CULTURE! SO, why is it so F’King hard for white people, who basically have just one type of hair, to accept that “we are NOT LIKE THEM? We are many shades of BLACK/BROWN AND in-between! WE ARE NOT LIKE THEM! And we are ALL from the same creator….just different colors and different textures of HAIR! History tells the absolute truth about our existence!

It is about erasure. Full stop. Dehumanizing one group to justify oppression. And it never stops with one group (which is still one too many).

Great article, but you're asking this question during PINO.2? Black hair is an important issue, but so is bread, butter, clean drinking water, shelter, protection from police brutality, a hostile takeover of the U.S. military, the threat of isolationism at home and abroad... Survival first, IMHO.

I respect your perspective. However, I believe it is all tied together in oppression, in demonizing or dehumanizing groups of people as less than to distract us from the fact that the elite consider all of us as less than. As a result, we continue to cover as much emerging news as possible to illustrate how the regime is attacking citizens on multiple fronts to demoralize, dehumanize, and divide us, and return us to a feudalistic society serving only the elite.
