The silence of the media isn’t surprising because it is authoritarianism. What I really didn't know is the extent of silence because I read a lot here on substack and thought that more people were informed. Unfortunately it is only the „substack bubble“ and the majority of people in the country didn't know about it. It is indeed so sad.
US Population - 340 million people/estimated adult population 260 million people (2024 numbers)
3.5 percent of the above - 9.1 million people
Estimates of the No Kings rallies- Between 4-6 million people (some estimates higher)
The numbers are almost there. Higher attendances are possible, but the media is HIGHLY unlikely to cooperate...unless there is violence...which attendees and supporters do not want, but would goose their ratings (the only thing they care about). The job is on supporters to do exactly what you said: spread the word themselves and support independent media like Free Speech TV.

Rachel Maddow has made the protest movement the center of her Monday night telecast for the past 6 months. We need more in the media to do this.
The corporate media knew about t's past well before he ran for office. Yet they failed to report it.
They and the SCOTUS are complicit in the destruction of our democracy.
