Trump’s Economic Delusion: Blame Polls, Deny Pain

In his Fox News interview, Trump mocked Americans facing record prices — and proved once again that the billionaire class lives in a different country than the rest of us.

Donald Trump sat across from Laura Ingraham last night inside his gold-plated Oval Office set — the one that looks more like a casino lobby than a seat of power — and laughed off the pain millions of Americans are feeling.

When asked about polls showing widespread economic anxiety, Trump waved it off as “fake news.”
He said the economy was “the greatest it’s ever been.”
He smirked. He shrugged. He lied.

But for the people watching at home — the families skipping meals to afford groceries, the workers juggling two jobs to pay rent, the seniors splitting pills to stretch their prescriptions — it wasn’t funny. It was insulting.

THE CON

Trump’s entire campaign pitch now hinges on a single delusion: that the pain Americans are feeling isn’t real.
He wants you to believe the headlines are fake, your bills are fake, and your bank account just doesn’t understand how “great” you have it.

The reality?
Trump’s billionaire buddies are freeloading off the American worker while calling us the freeloaders.
They raise prices, dodge taxes, and steal wages — and when we complain, they call us lazy.

Tony summed it up perfectly on the show:

“You go anywhere else in the world and they laugh at how much we work in this country for how little we make. And Trump sits there mocking us, pretending we’re all freeloaders while he and his rich-ass friends rob the place blind.”

THE BIGGER PICTURE

This isn’t just Trump being tone-deaf.
It’s Trump testing how far he can gaslight the American people before they stop believing their own reality.
He wants to turn working-class anger away from the billionaire class — and toward each other.

That’s the playbook.

THE TAKEAWAY

Trump’s interview wasn’t just cringe — it was revealing.
He’s running the same old con:

  • Mock the people

  • Blame the poor

  • Pretend the pain doesn’t exist

But Americans do feel it. Every rent check, every grocery run, every electric bill is proof.
And no amount of Fox News fluff pieces will make us forget who broke it in the first place.
